Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, reports, and other documentation to develop accurate cost estimates.

• Prepare quantity take-offs and detailed project cost analyses.

• Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.

• Develop comprehensive proposals, bids, and project pricing packages.

• Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and safety personnel to ensure estimates align with project scope, schedule, and risks.

• Support budgeting, cost tracking, and value engineering initiatives.

• Maintain and update historical cost databases for future estimating purposes.

• Assess project requirements, regulatory considerations, and operational constraints.

• Participate in site visits and gather information necessary for accurate project pricing.

• Manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting submission deadlines.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Experience in construction, demolition, environmental services, or related estimating roles.

• Strong knowledge of cost estimating, bid preparation, and cost analysis.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, estimating software, PDF take-off tools, and related applications.

• Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, technical reports, and project documents.

• Knowledge of remediation, asbestos and lead abatement, hazardous materials handling, and site safety practices.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.

• Experience working on commercial, industrial, or environmental construction projects preferred.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

• Valid driver's license.

• Ability to comply with safety and environmental regulations and protocols.
