Job DescriptionClinical Psychologist – Veteran Disability Assessments
We are looking for a committed Clinical Psychologist to become a part of our organization, focusing on conducting medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as part of the disability benefits process managed by the VA. In this role, you will assess behavioral health records through a secure online portal and carry out thorough in-person evaluations for each Veteran.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
- Review and interpret electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
- Document examination results accurately and complete necessary VA forms.
It is important to note that disability determinations are made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and not by the evaluating provider.
Schedule and Caseload
- Part-Time: 2-3 days per week (an additional telehealth day is available if desired).
- Average caseload of 4 Veterans per day.
Provided Equipment
- All necessary documentation tools, including a computer.
Qualifications
- A compassionate Psychologist with a commitment to supporting the Veteran community.
- Strong analytical abilities for reviewing medical records and assessment data.
- Proficient in electronic documentation and web-based systems.
- Professional and empathetic approach when interacting with Veterans.
- Must have graduated from an APA-accredited program.
- Possess an active and unrestricted Psychology license.
