🔥 DAY-SHIFT OR SURGICAL TECH CONTRACT – SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA LEVEL II TRAUMA CENTER

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Operating Room (OR) Surgical Technologist in Northridge, California. Operating within a high-acuity 14-suite surgical department at a Level II Trauma medical center in the Los Angeles area, this position offers a structured 5x8 daytime schedule (06:45 AM - 15:15 PM). If you are a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with strong multi-specialty surgical experience in trauma, orthopedics, and general surgery, this assignment is built for you!

- Weekly Gross: $1,750.00
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $750.00
- Hourly W2 Rate: $25.00/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
\n

- Schedule: Day shifts, 5x8-Hours (06:45 AM - 15:15 PM / 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM). Block scheduling configurations are not available.
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
- Weekend Requirements: Call required every 4th weekend for day shifts.
- On-Call Requirements: Weekday call required 4–8 times per 4-week schedule (self-scheduled, starting at end of shift until 07:00 AM the following morning). 30-minute call response time mandatory. Standby call rate applies at $7.00/hr ($65.00/hr call-back rate).
- Clinical Scope & Case Mix: Averages ~14 cases daily across 12 general OR suites, 1 CVOR suite, and 1 hybrid room. Required competencies include Trauma, Orthopedics (Total Joints), General Surgery, GYN, Urology, ENT, Vascular, Neurosurgery, and Robotics (Da Vinci). (Open heart/CVOR coverage is not required unless requested).
- EMR & Systems: Cerner SurgiNet.
- Scrubs: Hospital-provided scrubs.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

- Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical Surgical Tech experience in an acute care hospital setting is strictly required. Demonstrated experience in Trauma, Orthopedics, and General Surgery is required.

- Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
