Job Description
This role focuses on assembling and packaging high-quality cases and lighting products using hand and power tools in a clean production environment. You will follow blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to build and prepare products that protect valuable equipment such as cameras and lighting accessories. The position also involves basic material handling, inventory counting, and preparing finished goods for shipment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble various sizes of heavy-duty cases designed to store cameras, lighting accessories, and other sensitive equipment.
- Insert and configure foam in each case according to work instructions and product specifications.
- Work on the flashlight line assembling mid-size flashlights using hand and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate assembly and packaging.
- Use hand tools, small drills, hammers, and rivet machines to assemble and secure components and packaging.
- Operate basic production equipment such as pallet jacks and automated shrink wrap machines after appropriate training.
- Perform packaging tasks including taping boxes, labeling, and preparing products for shipment.
- Count inventory and verify quantities to support production and shipping accuracy.
- Follow written work instructions and quality standards to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
- Lift and move products and materials weighing between 7 and 35 pounds as part of daily tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and timelines.
Essential Skills
- Experience in assembly, production, or light industrial work, preferably in manufacturing or distribution environments.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and written work instructions.
- Proficiency using hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, and basic mechanical tools.
- Experience using power tools, including small drills and similar equipment, in a safe and controlled manner.
- Mechanical assembly skills with attention to detail and quality.
- Capability to perform packaging tasks, including taping boxes and preparing products for shipment.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 35–40 lbs as part of regular duties.
- Comfort working with general labor tasks in a production or warehouse environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing or distribution is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating pallet jacks and automated shrink wrap machines is a plus.
- Comfort working with mechanical assembly of cases, flashlights, or similar products.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality standards with minimal supervision.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and willingness to learn new tools and processes.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a clean, organized production environment focused on assembling heavy-duty cases and lighting products. You will work with hand tools, small drills, hammers, rivet machines, pallet jacks, and automated shrink wrap machines as part of daily operations. The role involves lifting items typically ranging from 7 to 35 lbs. Multiple shifts are available, including first, second, and third shift options. Safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and high-visibility vests is provided, while employees supply their own steel-toe boots in accordance with safety requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.75/hr.
