The Delivery Driver & Install Specialist delivers premium white-glove final‑mile service by safely transporting, placing, and installing office equipment at customer locations. This role operates vehicles up to 26,000 lbs. GVW/GVWR while ensuring product and property protection, accurate documentation, and high-quality service execution. The Delivery Specialist performs standard deliveries and installations while following established procedures to ensure a consistent customer experience.

The pay range for this role is from $21.00-$27.00 DOE

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform white-glove final-mile delivery and installation, including equipment transport, inside placement, basic setup, and customer site protection in accordance with service and safety standards.
  • Safely operate company vehicles (up to 26,000 lbs. GVW/GVWR), complete pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure proper load securement, handling, and transport of equipment.
  • Load, secure, and transport equipment while protecting customer property through proper handling techniques and use of protective materials to ensure a damage-free white glove experience.
  • Communicate with customers, scheduling, and remote support teams to confirm site readiness, manage expectations, and ensure successful delivery and installation outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate delivery and installation documentation, including proof of delivery, serial tracking, condition notes, and required paperwork; process returns and pickups, including hard drive removal when required and authorized, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy during loading, transport, and delivery by verifying equipment and maintaining control of assets through delivery and return.
  • Follow all safety protocols and participate in required safety meetings; report hazards or issues encountered in the field.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Successfully pass a company road test
  • 2+ years of experience in delivery, installation, moving, warehouse operations, or customer-facing field services (or equivalent combination)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license, with the ability to maintain a driving record that meets ongoing Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (ME Certificate/DOT medical card)
  • Demonstrated adherence to safety standards and operating procedures in a hands-on work environment
  • Effective professional communication skills with customers and internal teams
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and task execution
  • Basic proficiency with computers/mobile devices (e.g., tablets, MS Office, or similar tools)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with white‑glove final‑mile delivery or installation (office equipment, appliances, furniture, etc.).
  • Experience using liftgates, ramps, dollies, pallet jacks, or similar equipment.
  • Basic networking/IT familiarity (IP settings, connectivity checks, coordination with remote support).
  • Experience operating box trucks up to 26,000 lbs. GVW/GVWR.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The physical requirements for performing the essential functions of this position require the employee to be able to:

  • Ability to drive
  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Lifting items up to 50lbs, sometimes with assistance or equipment.
  • Push, pull, and move heavy electronics with wheels weighing up to 300lbs.
  • Operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment (certification preferred or provided).
  • Working near packaging materials, shrink-wrap machines, and occasionally exposed to toner dust.
  • Read a computer screen and written material.
  • Write, type, and use a smartphone system.

Work Environment

Warehouse workers operate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment within a climate-controlled warehouse or distribution center. The role involves handling and moving printer and copier equipment, parts, and supplies, ranging from small toner cartridges to large multifunction machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Regular travel to client sites is required.
