The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day planning, execution, and financial performance of multiple foundation drilling projects. This role involves taking ownership of budget, schedule, quality, safety, and client relationships. Successful project managers will be considered for advancement to the Senior Project Manager role.
Responsibilities
- Confer with the Senior Project Manager and site Superintendent to outline work plans and assign duties for assigned projects.
- Plan, coordinate, inspect, and direct operations for construction projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Provide project schedules and resource loading, maintaining the schedule for assigned projects.
- Acquire necessary permits and ensure proper documentation of design changes.
- Maintain responsibility for the construction budget and monitor expenses to control costs.
- Create and review job orders and change orders for authorization.
- Support bid preparation and review project specifications and schedules.
- Coordinate contract matters with legal support as needed.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Inspect work quality and ensure it meets project specifications and client expectations.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to team members on assigned projects.
- Conduct project status meetings and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
- Keep accurate records of project progress and provide regular updates to the Senior Project Manager.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Procore, MS Project, HeavyJob, and HCSS.
- Working knowledge of foundation drilling techniques, shoring installation, grouting, and equipment operation.
- Experience in construction management and understanding of the project lifecycle.
- Ability to negotiate change orders and develop sound contractual arguments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy under time constraints.
- Ability to work independently.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Sacramento, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
