Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or instructional aide in a school is a plus
- Comfortable supporting children with diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Ability to follow lesson plans and teacher directions effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Patient, reliable, and adaptable in fast-paced classroom environments
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of additional paraprofessional certification or relevant coursework preferred
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students as directed by certified teachers
- Assist with classroom management and help reinforce classroom expectations
- Support instructional activities and adapt materials under teacher guidance
- Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or accommodations, if needed
- Foster positive social and emotional interactions among students
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities
- Help ensure student safety and wellbeing at all times
- Maintain accurate records as requested by educators or administrators
