Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or instructional aide in a school is a plus
  • Comfortable supporting children with diverse learning and behavioral needs
  • Ability to follow lesson plans and teacher directions effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Patient, reliable, and adaptable in fast-paced classroom environments
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of additional paraprofessional certification or relevant coursework preferred

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students as directed by certified teachers
  • Assist with classroom management and help reinforce classroom expectations
  • Support instructional activities and adapt materials under teacher guidance
  • Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or accommodations, if needed
  • Foster positive social and emotional interactions among students
  • Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities
  • Help ensure student safety and wellbeing at all times
  • Maintain accurate records as requested by educators or administrators
