INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN
CLASSIFICATION: Salaried/Non-Exempt
POSITION TYPE: Full-time
REPORTS TO: Director of IT
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: To provide hands-on and collaborative technical assistance and serve as a key resource to all office staff and field employees. The two core missions are to keep our systems available, reliable, and secure — and help our people get their work done without friction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Resolve Level 1 and Level 2 helpdesk tickets in a timely, professional manner
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
- Manage Windows networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
- Configure and deploy desktops, laptops, and tablets
- Administer Veeam backups and ensure recovery readiness
- Manage WatchGuard firewalls and endpoint security / MDR tools
- Support the Avaya phone system and company mobile plans
- Oversee printers and print servers
- Enforce and manage multi-factor authentication
- Leverage AI tools to automate/streamline workflows and develop/deploy software.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required;
- 2–4 years of experience in an IT support or systems administration role
- Solid understanding of Windows networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure
- Proficiency with backup solutions (Veeam preferred)
- Experience configuring end-user devices (desktops, laptops, tablets)
- Working knowledge of endpoint security and MFA tools
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
- Proficiency with AI tools (Claude, Copilot, Gemini)
Preferred;
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or similar
- Experience with VMware and/or Proxmox virtualization
- Scripting or programming skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
- Experience in Cybersecurity
- Certifications in CompTIA, any Microsoft, CISSP
