Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Commercial Roll-Up Door Installer Helper to assist our Lead Installer with the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roll-up and overhead doors. As the second person on the installation truck, you'll play an essential role in supporting daily job site activities while learning the trade from experienced professionals.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with construction or mechanical experience who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and working outdoors in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Installer with the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roll-up and overhead doors.
Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, equipment, and installation materials.
Measure, position, and help install door components according to specifications and installation plans.
Safely lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds independently; heavier materials require a two-person lift.
Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Help prepare job sites, including framing, hardware installation, and material staging.
Assist with mechanical adjustments, door alignment, and troubleshooting during installations.
Support electrical connections for automatic door operators and access systems when needed (training provided).
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company safety procedures.
Represent the company professionally while providing excellent customer service at commercial job sites.

Qualifications

Construction, carpentry, remodeling, handyman, warehouse, or mechanical experience preferred but not required.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use basic hand and power tools.
Ability to read a tape measure and follow installation instructions.
Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings is a plus.
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Able to work on ladders, lifts, and at varying heights.
Strong work ethic with excellent attendance and punctuality.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly; heavier items require a team lift.
Good body mechanics and a commitment to workplace safety.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
