PRN Telemedicine Physician Set Your Own Hours
Job Description
Job Description
Location: Remote (United States) Type: PRN / As-Needed
About the Role
Our client is building a bench of PRN physicians who want genuine control over when and how much they work. There is no minimum weekly commitment and no fixed shift assignment. You open availability on the platform, claim the blocks that fit your life, and close the laptop when you're done.
This is built for physicians who are done negotiating with a scheduler. If you want to work six hours one week and thirty the next, that works here.
What You'll Do
-
Deliver synchronous virtual visits across a general adult scope — acute illness, medication management, follow-up, and triage to in-person care where clinically appropriate
-
Document each encounter fully in our EMR before closing the visit
-
Prescribe within the bounds of state telemedicine and controlled-substance regulations
-
Escalate cases that fall outside virtual scope, with support from our clinical resource team
-
Maintain a patient satisfaction and documentation-quality standard reviewed quarterly
What You'll Get
-
Self-directed scheduling with no minimum hours
-
Malpractice coverage provided
-
No call, no nights required, no procedures
-
Onboarding completed in under two weeks
-
A clinical support team handling intake, scheduling, and pharmacy coordination
Qualifications
-
MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school
-
Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
-
Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in at least one U.S. state
-
Active DEA registration
-
Minimum 2 years of post-residency clinical practice
-
Comfort working independently in a technology-forward environment, including navigating multiple platforms during a shift
-
Active, unrestricted medical licensure in a minimum of three U.S. states
-
Professional working proficiency in Spanish, sufficient to conduct a complete clinical encounter without an interpreter
-
Prior telemedicine experience preferred but not required
