Position Overview
An upscale corporate meeting venue in Half Moon Bay is seeking a reliable and personable Part-Time Meeting Host to support small executive gatherings. This role is ideal for a mature, detail-oriented individual who enjoys creating a welcoming, professional environment and providing attentive service to guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site host for corporate meetings with 4–12 attendees
- Greet guests warmly and learn/remember attendee names and preferences
- Maintain a professional, attentive presence throughout the event
- Take notes on attendee names and special requests to personalize service
- Prepare, organize, and maintain self-service food and beverage areas
- Set up, replenish, and clear refreshments during meetings
- Ensure meeting spaces remain clean, orderly, and well-stocked
Schedule
This is a part-time position supporting meetings two to three times per month, typically over two consecutive days:
- Day 1 (Preparation):
9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Set up food and beverage service for the following day - Day 2 (Event Hosting):
7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Host attendees, manage refreshments, and provide on-site support
Compensation
- $30 per hour
Ideal Candidate
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent memory for names and attention to detail
- Professional, polished, and dependable
- Comfortable working independently in a quiet, high-end setting
- Prior hospitality or customer service experience is a plus
