Position Summary

We are seeking a Benefits & Total Rewards Specialist to support the administration, communication, and continuous improvement of our employee benefits and compensation programs. This role serves as a key resource for employees and managers, ensuring a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FSA/HSA, EAP, and retirement plans.
  • Manage employee enrollments, life event changes, terminations, COBRA administration, and open enrollment activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit questions and issue resolution.
  • Partner with benefit vendors and brokers to ensure accurate plan administration and timely issue resolution.
  • Maintain benefit records and ensure data integrity within HRIS systems.
  • Assist with compensation analysis, salary benchmarking, market studies, and pay equity initiatives.
  • Support annual compensation planning, merit increases, bonus programs, and salary structure maintenance.
  • Prepare compensation reports and workforce analytics for HR leadership.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining competitive total rewards strategies that attract and retain talent.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits and compensation.
  • Support the preparation of audits, regulatory filings, and annual reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
  • Assist with policy development and employee communications regarding benefits and compensation programs.
  • Educate employees on benefit offerings, eligibility requirements, and enrollment procedures.
  • Develop benefits guides, presentations, and communication materials.
  • Conduct new hire benefits orientations and support open enrollment meetings.
  • Promote employee wellness programs and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, compensation analysis, total rewards, or human resources.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits programs, leave administration, and compensation practices.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems such as Workday, UKG, ADP, Paycom, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reporting and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar certification.
  • Experience with compensation surveys and market-pricing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of California employment laws and benefits regulations.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or multi-state employee populations.

Our program provides employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
