Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Sous Chef & Food Delivery Associate to assist with food preparation and safely deliver meals to Redwood City. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and providing dependable delivery service.
The candidate must possess the appropriate California food handling certifications and a valid California driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen operations
- Support the Head Chef with meal preparation and packaging
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
- Load and transport prepared food safely and efficiently
- Deliver food orders to Redwood City in a timely manner
- Communicate professionally with staff and customers
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately
Requirements
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Reliable personal transportation
- California Food Handler Certification (required)
- Ability to lift and carry food containers and supplies
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or sous chef assistant
- Experience with food delivery or catering operations
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen operations
