We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Woodland Hills and support our attorneys in all phases of litigation.

Position Summary

The Litigation Paralegal will provide substantive legal support to attorneys throughout the litigation process, including case management, discovery, trial preparation, and document management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Draft, prepare, and assist with filing pleadings, motions, appellate documents, and other litigation-related filings.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with case analysis.
  • Organize, maintain, and manage case files, pleadings, discovery materials, and related documents.
  • Prepare exhibits, evidence binders, briefs, appendices, and other trial-related materials.
  • Assist attorneys with discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, subpoenas, and the review and summarization of records and discovery responses.
  • Coordinate communications among attorneys, clients, experts, vendors, court personnel, and other parties as appropriate.
  • Assist with preparation for trials, hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the position.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment, including experience accurately tracking and recording billable time and working within billable-hour expectations.
  • This position includes responsibility for accurately recording billable time and meeting established billing expectations. The anticipated billable requirement is 128-140 billable hours per month. Overtime is limited and may be required only in connection with case deadlines, trials, or other time-sensitive litigation matters.
  • Paralegal qualification consistent with California Business and Professions Code requirements. Proof of qualifying education, certification, or experience will be required before employment begins.
  • Knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery practices, motion practice, and applicable court rules.
  • Proficiency with legal and business software, including Microsoft Office applications, legal research platforms, document management systems, and electronic filing systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in defense litigation.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay Range: $34.00–$40.00 per hour. Placement within the range will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, training, and other job-related considerations permitted by law.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid vacation, paid sick leave, and paid parking, subject to applicable plan terms and eligibility requirements.

Work Location

  • This is an onsite position based in Woodland Hills, California.Regular in-office attendance is required to perform the essential functions of the role.
