Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring a CA RN license and at least 3 years of nursing experience with specialization in general, ortho, vascular, trauma, and neuro cases.
Details
- Operating Room (OR) setting within a hospital environment
- Surgical specialties include general, orthopedic, vascular, trauma, and neuro cases
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- On-call required on an as-needed basis
- Every other weekend rotation required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- Ability to scrub and/or circulate OR cases
- Ability to work with bodily fluids and substances
- Ability to make fine discriminations in sound
- Ability to handle emergency and crisis situations
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Plans, manages, and coordinates professional nursing care for surgical patients in the scrub and/or circulator role
- Directs and supervises ancillary nursing personnel and collaborates with the full surgical team
- Maintains AORN standards of professional nursing practice
- Subject to varying and unpredictable situations; classified as OSHA Risk Category I (High Risk)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates
- Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved during the contract
