Performs core functions of the credentialing lifecycle, including initial appointments, reappointments, data collection, primary source verification, privileging, and credential file maintenance to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience:

High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred

Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience: Preferred

Two years' experience in a medical staff services department or other related setting: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:

Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
Essential Functions
-
Performs assigned credentialing functions for medical and allied health staff, including initial appointments, reappointments, privileging, and focused professional practice evaluations (FPPE)/proctoring.

Ensures credential files are accurate, complete, error-free, and processed within established timelines.

Supports provider onboarding by coordinating computer access, required training, orientation, and badging.

Maintains current knowledge of medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, hospital policies, and applicable regulatory agency requirements.

Assists with maintaining the medical staff database.

Maintains strict confidentiality of all medical staff information and credentialing records.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
