We are seeking a reliable and tech-savvy Property Inspector / Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for conducting inspections at our rental properties, documenting property conditions, taking photos, and completing inspection reports using our property management app.
Training will be provided, including instruction on the two maintenance items required for inspections. While the primary focus is inspections, this role will also assist our maintenance technician on select maintenance jobs as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections at rental properties
- Take clear and detailed photos during inspections
- Complete inspection reports accurately and on time using our property management software/app
- Upload photos, notes, and reports through the app
- Identify and document maintenance concerns or property issues
- Communicate findings clearly with management
- Assist maintenance technician with basic maintenance tasks when needed
- Travel between properties as required
- Maintain professionalism when interacting with tenants and staff
Qualifications
- Basic maintenance or handyman experience required
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and mobile apps
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry basic tools/equipment if needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in property management, inspections, or maintenance
- Familiarity with property management software/apps
- Experience completing detailed reports and documentation
