Job Title: 3D Data Scientist
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Irvine, CA - Hybrid
Pay Range: $70-$80/hr
3D Capture Validation – Validate 3D facial capture systems for accuracy, repeatability, geometric precision, landmark reproducibility, and clinical relevance.
Photogrammetry & 3D Rendering – Build validation pipelines using photogrammetry, 3D rendered images, RealityCapture, Agisoft Metashape, Blender, and Autodesk Maya.
3D Digital Endpoints Development – Design and scale 3D digital endpoints, biomarkers, and facial aesthetics outcome measures from mesh and point cloud data.
Machine Learning & AI – Develop supervised learning, self-supervised learning, and geometric deep learning models using PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
3D Data Processing – Work with 3D meshes, point clouds, depth maps, surface reconstruction, UV mapping, texture baking, and feature extraction.
Statistical Validation – Apply ICC (Intraclass Correlation), Bland-Altman Analysis, Bootstrap Methods, A/B Testing, and benchmarking frameworks.
Programming & Tools – Strong expertise in Python, NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, SQL, Open3D, trimesh, PyMeshLab, and PCL.
Clinical & Medical Imaging Domain – Preferred experience in aesthetics, dermatology, medical imaging, digital health, clinical trials, and regulated environments.
MLOps & Reproducibility – Use Git, DVC, MLflow, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for reproducible and scalable workflows.
Cross-Functional Leadership – Collaborate with clinical scientists, product managers, 3D capture specialists, and regulatory teams to deliver validated 3D solutions.
