The Opportunity
\n
The Coordinator, Product is responsible for effectively supporting the product life cycle through all stages of development for our external licensee partners. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Creative and Product, you will support and manage key aspects of the product approval process from concept to final production for both product and packaging submissions, ensuring all licensed products align with our brand standards and creative guidelines. This role requires close collaboration with both internal and external teams to support the development of new product concepts, ensure product assortments are viable, and facilitate timely and successful product launches.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- ·Review a heavy volume of domestic consumer product submissions in the online Mediabox system for accuracy and completeness.
- Filter incoming submissions to prioritize licensees, projects, or deadlines when necessary.
- Ensure all licensed products reflect the brand by adhering to standards and guidelines, including reviewing products for quality, construction, color, material, branding, and image.
- Communicate feedback to licensees regarding required changes and/or approval within the required time frame, providing supplemental examples, context, or images as needed.
- Assist in the onboarding of new licensees and their ongoing education to ensure all partners integrate into the DSE ecosystem of product development, including aiding in interpreting brand standards and guidelines and providing direction in using creative style guides and assets.
- Master the Mediabox product approval system, including troubleshooting issues, managing user accounts, and supporting licensees on how to use the system.
- Organize, track, and archive product samples, including unboxing and shipping samples, and follow up with licensees to request product samples or photos.
- Help showcase DSE’s licensed product scope by collecting product images, creating catalogs/presentations, and collecting samples for trade shows, events, and PR initiatives.
- Collaborate with other internal departments to gather collective feedback on product design and development.
- Assist the global product team with the development of seasonal market and industry trend reports
- Manage incoming samples, including onsite and offsite organization.

Experience and Qualifications
\n

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Merchandising, Product Development, or a related field preferred. A minimum of three years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in retail merchandising, product coordination, product development, buying, visual merchandising, brand support, or a related consumer-product environment.
- Candidates with customer-facing retail experience who have demonstrated an interest in merchandising, product selection, apparel, toys, games, home goods, or other consumer-product categories are encouraged to apply.
- Experience coordinating multiple products, submissions, projects, deadlines, or external partners in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with licensed consumer products, product approvals, brand standards, or intellectual property-driven brands is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, retailers, manufacturers, vendors, licensees, or other external partners is preferred.
- Ability to use product, sales, customer, or market insights to support recommendations and business initiatives.
- Experience in entertainment, publishing, character brands, licensing, or consumer products is a plus.

Compensation

- The hourly range for this position is $30-$38.
\n

\n
Work Schedule and Environment
\n

- We offer flexible working hours between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Our hybrid schedule includes working in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
