Litigation Attorney – Education & Public Agency Law

📍 Orange County, CA | In-Office with Hybrid Flexibility After 60 Days

⏱️ Full-Time

💰 $150,000 – $190,000 annually

A respected California education law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join its Orange County office. This role offers the opportunity to advise and represent public school districts, community college districts, and higher education institutions on a wide range of education and public agency matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in litigation, mediation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings
  • Advise on employment matters, employee discipline, workplace investigations, ADA accommodations, and governance issues
  • Counsel clients on student-related matters, including FERPA, discipline, First Amendment issues, and special education compliance
  • Support labor relations and collective bargaining matters
  • Advise on business operations, facilities, real estate, and public agency matters

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, preferably with public agency representation
  • Strong research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Experience in education law, labor and employment, litigation, or public agency law preferred
  • Trial experience is a plus
  • Active membership and good standing with the California Bar required
