Job DescriptionBachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Spindle is partnering with a school district to hire a Middle School Special Day Class (SDC) Teacher – Extensive Support Needs for next school year.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead a Special Day Class for middle school students with extensive support needs in a structured, supportive environment

Design and implement individualized academic and functional curriculum aligned with IEP goals

Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs with transition-focused goals for adolescent learners

Supervise and direct paraprofessionals to support classroom instruction and student independence

Maintain collaborative relationships with families, related service providers, and school staff
Qualifications:

California Education Specialist Credential – Extensive Support Needs

Experience leading an SDC classroom and supervising paraprofessionals preferred

Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
