Our client, a leading organization in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, is seeking a Gas & Chemical Technician to join their team. As a Gas & Chemical Technician, you will be part of the operations supporting critical gas and chemical distribution systems across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Gas & Chemical Technician
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Pay Range: $28 - 32
Shift: Temporary shift M - F 7:00 am - 3:30 pm for initial training; subsequent shift TBD, supporting 24x7 operations with compressed shifts (7:00 am - 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm - 7:30 am)
What's the Job?
- Support and lead technical demands of gas and chemical equipment across multiple site facilities
- Ensure compliance with operational and maintenance procedures, emergency preparedness, and safety protocols
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for over 2000 pieces of distribution equipment from various vendors
- Assist in installing, decommissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing gas and chemical systems
- Support project and sustaining operations, preventative maintenance, and safety training initiatives
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior experience in maintenance, equipment technician roles, or mechanical/electronic environments is preferred
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and basic computer operations
