Job DescriptionJob Summary The Buyer Planner is responsible for manufacturing planning, inventory management, material availability, and on-time customer delivery while supporting Kanban replenishment processes. This role works closely with procurement, global planning, and manufacturing teams to optimize inventory, improve supply chain efficiency, and ensure continuous production through effective planning, supplier communication, and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Manage manufacturing planning activities to ensure on-time delivery to customers. Plan and control inventory levels, material availability, and replenishment activities. Execute Kanban ordering and forecasting processes to support manufacturing operations. Collaborate with Procurement and Global Planning teams to prioritize materials and ensure supply continuity. Apply international procurement and shipping knowledge to optimize total cost and material flow. Analyze manufacturing capacity and determine production schedules. Monitor inventory performance and implement planning strategies to support operational goals. Communicate production plans, supply challenges, and opportunities across multiple departments. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Daily Management and problem-solving activities. Develop and implement effective countermeasures for material and inventory challenges. Support ongoing manufacturing operations by maintaining accurate planning records and documentation. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain performance and customer delivery. Perform general scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain administration tasks. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing planning, inventory control, or supply chain planning. Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle preferred; other ERP systems accepted). Strong experience with inventory management and planning systems. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and organizational levels. Ability to work independently and proactively. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on manufacturing and operational excellence. Candidates with master's degrees are considered overqualified. Availability to work 100% onsite, Monday through Friday (Day Shift). Preferred Qualifications Experience with Oracle ERP. Kanban planning experience. Knowledge of international procurement and shipping processes.
