Job DescriptionLitigation Legal Secretary (Commercial Litigation) - Confidential Client
Location: San Francisco, CA
Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 DOE

Schedule: Full-time | Hybrid (2 days in-office / 3 remote, 7.5-hour workday)

Our client, a mid-sized law firm in San Francisco's Financial District, is seeking a Litigation Legal Secretary. This role requires strong commercial litigation experience and the ability to manage a high-volume desk with precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and litigation support to a Partner and Associates
  • Draft, edit, and finalize correspondence and legal documents
  • Manage court filings and e-filings (state and federal)
  • Maintain and coordinate attorney calendars and deadlines
  • Schedule meetings, depositions, and client communications
  • Coordinate with internal departments on matter opening and closing
  • Enter and edit attorney time as needed

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of commercial litigation legal secretary experience required
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules, procedures, and calendaring
  • Advanced document formatting skills, including Tables of Contents and Authorities
  • Ability to independently manage e-filing in compliance with court rules
  • Strong organizational, proofreading, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage competing priorities
  • Prior tenure stability in roles is highly valued
