<p>Job DescriptionOur client, a fast-scaling fintech in the payments space, is looking for an experienced audit-readiness consultant to get the finance function audit-ready within approximately three months. This is a hands-on, high-ownership contract role for someone who can start immediately with minimal ramp-up.
<p>What you'll do:</p>
<ul>
<li>Lead audit-readiness and preparation ahead of an upcoming audit</li>
<li>Assess and strengthen internal controls and financial processes (SOX / ICFR)</li>
<li>Own technical accounting matters under US GAAP, including revenue recognition (ASC 606)</li>
<li>Coordinate month-end close, documentation, and auditor deliverables (PBC lists, schedules, memos)</li>
<li>Partner with the Head of Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to close gaps quickly</li>
</ul>
<p>What we're looking for:</p>
<ul>
<li>CPA strongly preferred</li>
<li>Big 4 or top-tier public accounting / audit background, plus in-house or consulting experience</li>
<li>Demonstrated audit-readiness, SOX, or technical accounting experience</li>
<li>Fintech, payments, or financial services experience a strong plus</li>
<li>Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment</li>
<li>Available to start on short notice</li>
</ul>
<p>Engagement: ~3-month contract, remote (US). Full-time or fractional considered depending on scope.</p>
