Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Two impactful contract opportunities are available: an in-person Teacher of the Visually Impaired and a Braillist. Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Current certification or credential as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for educator candidates
- Experience adapting curriculum and providing direct instruction to students with visual impairments
- Proficiency in Braille transcription and the use of braille-writing equipment for braillist candidates
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and support teams
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus
- Commitment to student inclusion and individualized support
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments (for TVI role)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to adapt and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Produce accurate and timely braille materials to support students’ access to the curriculum (for Braillist role)
- Utilize assistive technology and orientation/mobility strategies as needed
- Advocate for student needs and inclusion within the wider school community
- Maintain documentation and progress reports as required
