Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to perform mechanical installation, equipment optimization, and preventive maintenance on production equipment. The role involves maintaining and repairing plant equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, schematics, and operation manuals, as well as troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, electrical/control, and hydraulic system components for production areas.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical/control, and hydraulic system components for production areas.
- Complete emergency repairs to offset downtime and production delays.
- Perform equipment change-overs as required.
- Complete preventive maintenance work orders as assigned through the CMMS system.
- Use schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment or process-related issues and problems.
- Ensure documentation of work using the CMMS (MP2) and complete work orders as assigned.
- Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, and reassemble machines.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery mechanically (hydraulic/pneumatic).
- Understand HVAC system operation and components.
- Generate and communicate detailed parts lists for preventative and emergency repairs.
- Understand environmental policy and regulatory compliances for Wastewater, Storm water, HVAC, and hazardous waste.
- Complete root cause analysis and breakdown elimination on process systems.
- Perform all duties with required safety equipment and comply with all safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, SOPs, and company policies.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience in preventive maintenance.
- Knowledge of schematics and blueprints.
- Understanding of HVAC systems and components.
- Familiarity with CMMS (MP2).
- Experience in the food industry and GMP environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Food maintenance experience.
- Experience with HVAC systems.
- Welding and electrical knowledge.

Work Environment
The facility spans over 15+ acres with an average headcount of around 350 employees. It is a clean nut processing facility, but due to machinery, it can be a loud environment. The schedule is Monday to Saturday, with an expectation to work 6 days a week, averaging around 48-55 hours. Flexibility with shifts is required as they are based on seniority. Available shifts are 1st Shift 6AM - 2:30PM, 2nd Shift 2:00PM - 10:30PM, and 3rd Shift 10:00PM - 6:30AM.

This is a Permanent position based out of Stockton, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $59280.00 - $69680.00/yr.
