HCT seeks an experienced professional to serve as the Interim Infection Preventionist (RN) for a 300+ bed acute care hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the hospital's infection prevention and infection surveillance program.
- Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, Joint Commission, and state regulatory standards.
- Partner with clinical leaders to implement infection prevention initiatives across multiple patient care areas.
- Conduct infection surveillance, outbreak investigations, staff education, and performance improvement activities.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: Previous infection prevention experience in an acute care hospital is required.
- License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Certifications: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Computer Skills: Experience with Meditech EMR and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Must be available to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance.
