Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on installation experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing residential and light commercial HVAC systems and be comfortable working on both retrofit and new construction projects.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality installation standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and commission HVAC systems according to schematics, blueprints, and design specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and HVAC design documents to ensure precise installation procedures.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and calibration to guarantee optimal operation.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on existing HVAC equipment including refrigeration units, boilers, and appliances.
- Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair or modify systems as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all phases of installation and service.
- Collaborate with project managers, property maintenance teams, and service technicians to coordinate work schedules and project timelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in HVAC installation or related construction fields.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge including refrigeration, plumbing, air conditioning, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) design documents.
- Experience with field service operations involving appliance repair, property maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of HVAC system components such as boilers, ductwork, thermostats, and mechanical controls.
- Ability to operate tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair instruments safely and effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for transportation needs.
