Logan Heights Community Development Corporation (LHCDC) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee the organization's accounting operations and support the financial health of a growing nonprofit. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cash management, monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, audit coordination, grant compliance, and internal controls. The Senior Accountant partners with leadership to provide accurate financial analysis, ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and support strategic decision-making while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and integrity. Experience with nonprofit accounting, financial reporting, audits, and New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) compliance is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with a CPA or MBA considered a plus. Candidates should have five to ten years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization, along with strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, financial reporting, payroll, and audit preparation. Experience using Sage accounting software, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, exceptional analytical and organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality are essential. Candidates should be collaborative, proactive, and committed to supporting LHCDC's mission of strengthening communities through financial excellence.
