Physical Therapist - Outpatient
\n
Job Details:
\n
• Work in an outpatient/rehabilitation clinic setting treating patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
\n • Evaluate and treat patients to help improve mobility, function, and strength
\n • Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
\n • Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up
\n • Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care
\n • Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
\n • Responsible for accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
\n • Must be proficient in ICD-10 coding and familiar with PT billing policies including Medicare, workers' compensation, private, auto, liens, and cash pay
\n • Must be able to make independent decisions regarding patient care
\n • Involved in business marketing and referral process when necessary
\n • Must be physically mobile, including a combination of stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standing for 8-10 hour work days
\n • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers, mobility, and walking safety
\n • Computer skills required including typing, Microsoft Word, Internet, and EMR systems
\n • Must hold an active Physical Therapist license in the state of California
\n • Degree in Physical Therapy required
\n • Continuing Education courses preferred
\n • No travel expected for this position
