Job DescriptionJob Overview: Pay Range: $35hr - $40hr
Responsibilities:
- Generate test plans, protocols, and reports with guidance from engineering teams.
- Collaborate with design, clinical, and test engineering teams to execute testing activities.
- Assemble prototype devices in partnership with manufacturing engineering teams.
- Execute test protocols including surgical simulation and automated testing using specialized equipment such as da Vinci Surgical Systems.
- Perform design verification testing under guidance from test owners.
- Identify, document, and escalate issues or failure modes observed during testing.
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) when recording test data and results.
- Perform cleaning and reprocessing of instruments, endoscopes, and accessories.
- Develop and maintain work instructions for test methods and procedures.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and workflow.
- Maintain organized and compliant lab workspaces.
- Support product verification and test process design activities as assigned.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned projects and communicate risks to management.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.
Required Skills And Experience:
- High school diploma or GED with 6+ years of experience in hardware production or test environments.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend technical instructions and documentation.
- Basic mathematical skills including interpreting specifications and tolerances.
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities with attention to quality and detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel.
- Ability to follow instructions for executing software scripts and using online documentation systems.
- Experience using basic tools and measurement equipment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Willingness to work with biological samples including blood, tissue, and organs.
- High level of integrity and adherence to ethical standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline.
- Experience working in a medical device environment.
