Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead complex IT initiatives and keep cross-functional teams aligned on delivery goals in Irvine, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can guide Agile execution, manage project plans, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders across the organization. The role requires a strong blend of technical project leadership, structured governance, and hands-on coordination using modern project tracking tools.
Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring scope, timelines, budget, and deliverables remain on track.
• Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies, support team accountability, and help remove barriers that affect delivery progress.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define priorities, align expectations, and communicate project status clearly.
• Build and maintain detailed project roadmaps, schedules, risk logs, and action plans to support successful outcomes.
• Use Atlassian Jira to organize work, monitor sprint progress, and provide visibility into milestones and team performance.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues early, then drive mitigation strategies to reduce delivery impact.
• Coordinate across multiple teams and consultants to ensure technical efforts are integrated effectively and completed with quality.
• Support project governance by preparing updates, documentation, and reporting for leadership review and decision-making.• Proven experience managing IT projects in a technical environment with responsibility for delivery from initiation through completion.
• Strong working knowledge of Agile Scrum practices and experience leading teams within iterative delivery models.
• PMP certification or comparable project management credential is required.
• Hands-on experience with Atlassian Jira for task tracking, workflow management, and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies, including planning, risk management, issue resolution, and status reporting.
