As the Emergency Department Nurse Lead, you'll partner with nurse managers, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes, support frontline staff, and create a culture of safety, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
As the RN Nurse Lead, you will:

Provide clinical and operational leadership for the Emergency Department

Support and mentor nursing staff while promoting professional development

Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

Ensure safe, efficient, and evidence-based patient care delivery

Assist with staffing, scheduling, and workload management based on patient acuity
-
Monitor quality metrics and lead performance improvement initiatives
-
Promote patient safety and compliance with Joint Commission standards

Address patient, family, and staff concerns with professionalism and compassion
-
Participate in hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, and staff development
-
Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered work environment
QualificationsRequired
-
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
-
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
-
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience

Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Preferred

Master's Degree in Nursing

Five or more years of nursing experience

Emergency Department leadership experience

Clinical specialty or Nursing Administration certification

CPR certification (per organizational policy)
