As the Emergency Department Nurse Lead, you'll partner with nurse managers, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes, support frontline staff, and create a culture of safety, collaboration, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As the RN Nurse Lead, you will:

  • Provide clinical and operational leadership for the Emergency Department

  • Support and mentor nursing staff while promoting professional development

  • Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

  • Ensure safe, efficient, and evidence-based patient care delivery

  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, and workload management based on patient acuity

  • Monitor quality metrics and lead performance improvement initiatives

  • Promote patient safety and compliance with Joint Commission standards

  • Address patient, family, and staff concerns with professionalism and compassion

  • Participate in hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, and staff development

  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered work environment

QualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience

  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Preferred

  • Master's Degree in Nursing

  • Five or more years of nursing experience

  • Emergency Department leadership experience

  • Clinical specialty or Nursing Administration certification

  • CPR certification (per organizational policy)
