Job DescriptionReno Staffing is looking for a Safety Manager for a leading Commercial Concrete Construction company in Northern Nevada!
Are you a seasoned safety professional who is passionate about protecting employees and creating a culture of safety? We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across multiple commercial construction projects throughout Northern Nevada. Shift: Full-Time
Pay: $90,000 - $115,000 annually
Location: Northern Nevada
Summary:The Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing and enforcing safety programs across multiple commercial concrete construction job sites. This position plays a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing workplace risks, and fostering a proactive safety culture among project teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive construction safety experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for maintaining safe and productive work environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Other duties may be assigned.
- Conduct daily site walks, field audits, and safety inspections on active construction projects.
- Develop, implement, and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Maintain current knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction industry best practices.
- Execute and monitor site-specific safety plans.
- Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for field personnel.
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Track, maintain, and report safety metrics and documentation.
- Identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures to reduce risk.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and compliance.
At the discretion of your lead or supervisor, you could be required to perform additional job-related activities not specifically outlined above.
Competency:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- 10+ years of continuous construction safety experience.
- Extensive commercial construction experience required; concrete construction experience strongly preferred.
- OSHA 500 Certification required.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) required.
- Strong understanding of construction practices, building codes, and industry safety standards.
- Ability to effectively lead teams and hold employees accountable to safety expectations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple active job sites.
- Spanish bilingual required (English and Spanish).
- Proficiency with safety reporting, documentation, and compliance tracking.
A few highlights (Non-Negotiables for this role):
- Must hold OSHA 500 Certification.
- Must hold either Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) certification.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
