The Sheet Metal Machine Operator plays a crucial role in operating and maintaining sheet metal machinery to produce precise metal components. Working within a small team, this operator ensures the accurate cutting and forming of sheet metal according to specifications, while adhering to safety standards and maintaining equipment efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Set up machines for sheet metal cutting and forming tasks
- Cut sheet metal to precise dimensions
- Form sheet metal components using specialized equipment
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards
- Perform maintenance on equipment as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and compliance guidelines
- Handle materials efficiently and safely
- Calibrate machinery to maintain accuracy
- Troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime
- Document processes, maintenance, and production details
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in sheet metal machining
