General Ledger and Financial Reporting Accountant

PublishedPublished: 6/14/2022

Job Description

Job DescriptionA day in the life

Morning in Burbank, CA: you scan the ledger, clear the bank feed, and post clean, GAAP-compliant journal entries. By mid-morning, you’ve reconciled key balance sheet accounts and triaged the AP/AR queue so vendors and customers stay in sync. After lunch, you partner with operations to align forecasts and budgets, then turn data from Oracle or SAP/NetSuite into crisp, management-ready financial reports. As month-end approaches, you help drive a smooth close—validating accruals, reviewing variances, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations—all while finding opportunities to automate and streamline in our supportive, collaborative environment.

What you’ll own

  • Maintain accurate financial statements that adhere to GAAP.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Lead and assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and analyze reports for leadership review and decision-making.
  • Monitor and support compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
  • Collaborate across departments on financial planning and budgeting.
  • Use accounting and ERP tools to improve efficiency and streamline workflows.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong command of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Hands-on skill with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar.
  • Proficiency with ERP & MRP systems; experience with Oracle ERP, SAP, or NetSuite is valuable.
  • Excellent analytical judgment, problem-solving ability, and accuracy.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable working independently and with a team.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in accounting or finance is a plus.

Tools you’ll touch

  • ERP: Oracle
  • Accounting platforms: SAP, NetSuite
  • Additional: QuickBooks, Sage (or comparable)

If you’re energized by turning complex data into reliable numbers and insights—and doing it alongside a team that values growth and support—you’ll feel right at home here.
