Behavior Therapist (In-Person)

Location: Napa
Pay: $21.00 – $29.50 per hour (based on education, experience, and skill level)
Schedule: Part-time / Full-time options available

The Puppy Water Entertainment Foundation, in partnership with Conscious Puzzles, is a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. Our multidisciplinary team focuses on improving behavioral, emotional, and overall life outcomes for underserved communities.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Therapist to join our in-person clinical team. This role involves working collaboratively with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Associate Psychotherapists to support clients in achieving their behavioral and emotional treatment goals.
The ideal candidate is passionate about mental health, enjoys working with diverse populations, and is committed to making a meaningful impact in both clinical and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavioral support to children and adult clients in a clinical setting
- Implement treatment plans developed by supervising clinicians
- Support clients in developing emotional regulation, social skills, and adaptive behaviors
- Assist with behavioral interventions, redirection, and skill-building activities
- Document client progress and session notes in a timely and accurate manner
- Collaborate with LCSWs, Associate Therapists, and other team members
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training
- Support a trauma-informed and culturally responsive care environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Development, or related field (required or in progress)
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in behavioral or mental health settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, multidisciplinary environment
- Interest in behavioral health, ABA principles, or mental health services
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in high-energy or challenging situations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, or behavioral challenges
- Familiarity with ABA, play therapy, or trauma-informed care
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
