Immediate opening for a Press Machine Operator in Gardena, CA who possesses:
- 2+ years of press machine operation experience
- 1+ year of mechanical or industrial experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Press Machine Operator to support machine operation within a shop environment. This role is responsible for setting up and operating machinery, following workplace safety procedures, and working effectively with team members in a fast-paced industrial setting. The ideal candidate will have press machine operation experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely in a loud, hands-on shop environment. Hours are Monday through Friday, 4:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Setting up and operating machines in a shop environment
- Operating equipment that may include lathes, vertical boring mills, punch presses, threaders, grinders, and related machinery
- Following work instructions, production requirements, and safety procedures
- Understanding and complying with workplace safety regulations
- Working effectively with team members in a loud industrial environment
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Monitoring machine operation and reporting issues as needed
- Handling materials, parts, and tools as required for production
- Supporting daily shop and production needs as assigned
The selected candidate will also possess:
- 2+ years of press machine operation experience preferred
- 1+ year of mechanical or industrial experience required
- Ability to work in a shop or industrial environment
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong attention to safety and quality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 4:30 AM to 1:00 PM
- Ability to pass a physical exam and drug screen
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to handle heavy objects, materials, parts, and tools for extended periods as needed
- Ability to work in a loud shop environment
- Ability to use hands and arms to operate machinery, tools, and equipment
- Ability to work around industrial machines and follow all required safety procedures
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment as needed
- Ability to perform physically active work for the duration of the shift
Salary Range: $20 to $25/hour
