As a Security Officer for Container Lot Access Gate in San Pedro, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic logistics and distribution location where you will help manage access control, monitor entry activity, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. In this role, you will remain visible, perform routine patrols, and deliver strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor, vendor, and/or driver credentials, and help to control access to authorized areas in accordance with location policies.
• Document arrivals, departures, deliveries, and/or unusual activity, and report incidents or concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in a timely manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using clear communication with personnel, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to identify unauthorized activity, unsecured access points, and/or other security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Being able to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
