Reports To: Accounting Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Clerk to provide support to our accounting department. This position will assist with daily accounting functions, including cash receipts, accounts payable, data entry, and expense reconciliation.

The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, comfortable working with numbers, and able to maintain confidentiality while handling financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Cash Receipts
• • Process and record daily cash receipts and payments.
  • Post transactions accurately to the appropriate accounts.
  • Assist with researching and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of cash transactions.
• Accounts Payable Assistance
• • Assist with processing vendor invoices and accounts payable transactions.
  • Verify invoices for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with matching invoices to purchase orders or other supporting records.
  • Maintain organized vendor and payment records.
• Data Entry
• • Enter financial and accounting information accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and databases.
  • Review data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with filing, scanning, and maintaining accounting documentation.
• Expense Reconciliation
• • Review and reconcile employee and company expenses.
  • Verify receipts and supporting documentation.
  • Research discrepancies and assist with correcting errors.
  • Ensure expenses are properly coded and recorded.
• Provide general administrative and accounting support as needed.
• Assist with month-end accounting activities and reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality of company, employee, vendor, and financial information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework or an associate degree is a plus.
• 1+ year of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with SalesForce preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and follow through to resolution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be dependable and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Part-Time: Approximately 20–25 hours per week.
Schedule and days of work to be determined based on business needs.
