We are searching for a Project Engineer to provide onsite support for Project Managers, Superintendents, and Field Personnel by leading the day-to-day coordination, documentation, tracking, and communication for a Building and Engineering firm. The salary range for this position is $90k to $115k, depending on education and experience.


Responsibilities


  • Lead daily coordination between project management, field teams, and subcontractors.
  • Manage and track project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Support project scheduling efforts and monitor progress against timelines.
  • Assist in cost tracking, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Serve as a communication hub between stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain accurate project records and reporting systems.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress and risks.
  • Assist with field inspections and quality control processes.
  • Identify and escalate project risks, delays, and issues.
  • Support safety compliance and enforcement of jobsite standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design conflicts.
  • Assist with project closeout including punch lists and documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project execution and coordination practices.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred, related field like Construction Management will be considered.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in construction or engineering project support roles.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, plans, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience with document control systems and workflows.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and contracts.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with field and office personnel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and construction best practices.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and vendors.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on teams.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Primavera or MS Project.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and project success.
