Title: Component Quality Engineer
Location: Camarillo, CA (on-site)
Annual Salary: $85,000 - $110,000

We are seeking an experienced Quality Component Engineer to help drive product excellence, ensure component reliability, and support ongoing innovation. In this role, you will work at the intersection of quality, design, and manufacturing, leading component evaluations, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring every part meets the highest standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead component quality efforts across the product lifecycle, from selection and qualification to field performance
  • Perform component risk assessments including obsolescence, variability, and sourcing stability
  • Lead DFMEA and PFMEA activities with design, manufacturing, and reliability teams
  • Support process validation for new or modified components, processes, and suppliers IQ OQ PQ
  • Investigate and resolve complex quality issues using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone methods
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and support incoming inspection criteria for critical components
  • Monitor key quality metrics including yield, DPPM, and failure trends and drive improvement initiatives
  • Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System and support internal and external audits

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 2-5+ years of experience in manufacturing or product development, preferably with electronic components
  • Hands on experience with FMEA, risk analysis, and process validation
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015, IPC standards, and component qualification best practices
  • Experience with ERP PLM systems Microsoft Dynamics, Omnify Empower a plus
