Job Description

We are seeking a skilled EM Technician capable of handling all job functions from sub-assembly to final testing and acceptance of systems in final assembly. The ideal candidate will start with sub-assembly tasks and progress to roles in final assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical capital equipment, sub-systems, mechanisms, and controls.
  • Work from assembly procedures, technical drawings, test procedures, specifications, data sheets, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Set up and operate standard and specialized test equipment. Conduct tests to determine quality and reliability, diagnose malfunctions, and make necessary corrections and adjustments.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Electrical knowledge
  • Proficiency with multimeters and calipers
  • Understanding of wiring, mechanical and electrical systems
  • IPC standards
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Assembly and wire management

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, mechanical component drawings, electrical schematics, and pneumatic schematics
  • Experience using general test equipment, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and troubleshooting personal computer hardware and software
  • Experience assembling, testing, and troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical capital equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Self-driven and motivated

Work Environment

Our work environment offers a casual dress code and operates Monday to Friday during the first shift from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM with flexible start times. You will join a mid-size company with multiple levels of technicians and assemblers, ranging from junior to higher levels, fostering a collaborative and dynamic atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
