Journeyman Carpenter needed for Metal and Wood Framing

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Framing Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with both metal stud framing and wood framing in commercial construction environments. This position requires the ability to work independently, read plans, lay out framing systems accurately, and maintain high-quality workmanship while meeting project schedules.

Responsibilities
-Layout, measure, cut, and install metal stud framing systems.
-Perform wood and metal framing for walls, floors, ceilings, and structural components.
-Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications.
-Install backing, soffits, bulkheads, shaft walls, and specialty framing systems.
-Verify framing layouts, elevations, and dimensions for accuracy.
-Coordinate with project supervisors and other trades to maintain workflow.
-Operate hand tools, power tools, lasers, and layout equipment safely and effectively.
-Ensure all work meets building codes, project specifications, and quality standards.
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
-Identify and communicate material needs, field conditions, and potential issues.

Qualifications
-5+ years of professional framing experience preferred.
-Strong experience with both metal stud framing and wood framing.
-Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
-Experience with commercial construction projects.
-Knowledge of framing layouts, fire-rated assemblies, and building code requirements.
-Ability to work from elevations, control lines, and layout points.
-Must have reliable transportation and basic framing tools(a rivet gun is also required for this position)
-Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
