AM/PM Paraprofessionals (26-27 SY) | Vista, CA 92084 | ELOP Program
We're seeking dedicated AM/PM Paraprofessionals to support students in the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) during before- and after-school hours for the 2026-2027 school year in Vista, CA.
Position Details
• Start Date: August 11, 2026
• End Date: June 3, 2027
• Before & After School Assignment
• 1:1 Student Support Role
• Caseload: Behavioral Students
• School-Based Position
Work Schedule
AM Schedule
• Monday–Friday: 6:30 AM–8:00 AM
PM Schedule
• Monday: 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
• Tuesday–Friday: 2:18 PM–6:00 PM
Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 support to students with behavioral needs
• Assist students in accessing academic and enrichment activities
• Implement behavior intervention and support strategies
• Promote student safety, engagement, and positive social interactions
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and program personnel
• Assist with activities of daily living, including toileting when required
• Maintain professionalism and accurate documentation
Qualifications
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Behavioral health, paraprofessional, special education (SPED), ABA, or related experience strongly preferred
• Ability to effectively support students with behavioral challenges
• Comfortable working in a 1:1 behavioral support setting
• Comfortable providing toileting assistance when necessary
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
Important Requirements
• Candidates must have school-based and/or behavioral/SPED experience
• Candidates with only babysitting experience will not be considered
• Must be able to maintain a consistent AM/PM schedule throughout the school year

Compensation for this position ranges from $16.90 to $35.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
