The Production Worker supports daily manufacturing and shipping operations by performing a variety of hands-on tasks, including production work, manual order entry, material identification and inspection, box building, and general facility upkeep in an aerospace/manufacturing environment with an outdoor yard.
Responsibilities
- Perform general production work in an aerospace/manufacturing environment, following established processes and safety guidelines.
- Enter shipping orders manually and accurately into data entry systems to ensure correct documentation and order processing.
- Build boxes and prepare packaging materials to meet shipping and production requirements.
- Identify materials correctly based on labels, documentation, or instructions to support accurate production and shipping activities.
- Inspect materials for quality, damage, and compliance with specifications before they move to the next stage of production or shipment.
- Retrieve orders and materials from the yard and transport them to appropriate areas in the facility.
- Use hand tools and a sledgehammer to break concrete for 1 to 2 hours per day as required by production tasks.
- Operate a sit-down propane forklift to move materials, products, and equipment safely within the facility and yard.
- Sweep, clean, and maintain work areas, including emptying trash, to support a safe and organized production environment.
- Follow basic math procedures for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities in production and shipping activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working in hot, loud, and physically demanding conditions.
Essential Skills
- Experience performing production work or general labor in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Ability to work with hand tools safely and efficiently in a production setting.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities.
- Ability to perform manual data entry for shipping orders with attention to accuracy.
- Capability to swing a sledgehammer for 1 to 2 hours per day to break concrete.
- Experience operating a sit-down propane forklift in a yard or manufacturing environment.
- Comfort working in hot, loud conditions without temperature control.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and repetitive motions throughout a full shift.
- Reliability to work 1st shift hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in general production or general labor roles.
- Familiarity with aerospace or manufacturing processes and standards.
- Experience working in an outdoor yard environment as part of production or shipping operations.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization in the workplace.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adapt to changing production needs.

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing facility with an attached yard, focused on aerospace and general production work. The environment is hot and loud with zero temperature control, and work is primarily performed on 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will use hand tools, a sledgehammer for breaking concrete, and a sit-down propane forklift to move materials. Tasks involve both indoor and outdoor work, frequent movement, and physical labor, with an emphasis on maintaining clean and organized work areas.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
