Position Description:
Housing Patrol Officer(s) will be responsible for conducting foot and vehicle patrols of the client properties and enforcing the property's in-house rules in a community-oriented manner. Officers will be responsible for responding to calls for service and/or incidents he/she witnessed, documenting all pertinent information, and furnishing such information to the RPS Dispatch and/or an incident report.
REQUIREMENTS
• Valid California Driver's License with a clean DMV record
• Valid California Guard Card
• Valid California Exposed Firearm Permit
• Valid Baton Permit
• Pepper Spray / Chemical Weapons Certification
• Reliable transportation
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
• Personally owned firearm (partial reimbursement available)
• Ballistic vest
• Duty belt
• Baton
• Pepper spray
• Handcuffs
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 1–2 years of armed security experience
• Minimum 3 years of security industry experience
• Strong report writing and documentation skills
• Ability to maintain a professional command presence while in uniform
• Military veteran or prior law enforcement experience preferred
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols throughout the property
• Enforce property rules and policies in a professional and community-oriented manner
• Respond to calls for service, disturbances, and other security-related incidents
• Observe, investigate, and document suspicious activity
• Complete detailed incident and activity reports
• Communicate all pertinent information to dispatch and management
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity and enhance resident safety
• Provide excellent customer service while ensuring site security
COMPENSATION
Starting pay rate is $27.00. (First 30 days, $25.50. Payrate elevation pending completion of 30-day probation)- Can be discussed during the interview.
