Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Class A CDL Fleet Driver to join our Sacramento-based operations. As a key member of our fleet team, you will be responsible for the professional operation of Class A tractor-trailer equipment, ensuring the secure and timely transport of cargo. This role demands precision, reliability, and a strict adherence to all federal, state, and company safety regulations. Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Possess a valid and current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Mandatory: A minimum of 3 months of verifiable, professional Class A CDL tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Must be able to provide verifiable employment history and references for prior driving positions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical examination, and background check.

Strict Safety Gate Requirements

To maintain the highest level of safety for our drivers, the public, and our cargo, all candidates must satisfy the following stringent criteria:

  • No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 2 years.
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
  • Zero DUIs or DWI convictions in the past 5 years.
  • No use of a handheld mobile device while driving in the past 2 years.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate Class A tractor-trailer equipment in a safe and efficient manner, complying with all state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal operating condition and report any maintenance issues immediately.
  • Secure cargo properly using appropriate methods and equipment to prevent damage or shifting during transit.
  • Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation as required by law and company policy.
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor when interacting with customers, law enforcement, and the general public.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including defensive driving techniques and hours-of-service regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and fleet management regarding route status and any delays.
