\nThis temporary direct Physical Therapist opportunity is based in St. Helena, California, a picturesque town in the heart of Napa Valley. St. Helena offers a unique blend of small-town charm and world-famous wine country amenities, surrounded by rolling vineyards, scenic hills, and beautiful countryside. The surrounding Napa Valley region offers hiking and biking trails, hot air balloon rides, and easy day trips to other charming wine country towns, making this an ideal location for professionals who enjoy both outdoor recreation and vibrant culinary experiences.\nIn this role, you will be working in an outpatient Physical Therapy setting that provides care to a primarily general orthopedic and geriatric population, with some neuro patients as part of the caseload. The environment is focused on functional improvement, safety, and maximizing independence for adults and older adults. You will collaborate with a shared aide to support your daily schedule, which includes approximately 13 patient visits per day.\nTypical responsibilities include performing comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized plans of care, delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and regularly reassessing progress. You will provide patient and family education, coordinate care with other providers as needed, and complete timely, accurate documentation in the facility’s electronic medical record system. You can expect to utilize a mix of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, balance and gait training, and functional mobility work tailored to each patient’s needs.\nThis is a full-time position with an expected 40 hours per week, working 5 eight-hour day shifts. On-call responsibilities are not required, allowing for a predictable schedule and the opportunity to fully enjoy all that the Napa Valley region offers during your off time. The assignment length is 13 weeks, providing a defined timeframe while still allowing you to build meaningful rapport with your patients and colleagues.\nThe team culture emphasizes collaboration, patient-centered care, and professional respect. You will join a supportive outpatient rehab team that values communication and coordinated care, and that aims to create a positive environment for both patients and staff.
